Metabolic Therapies Why is this approach different from other nutritional approaches? Just as the mind and body can move from the restriction of effort to the freedom of ease, so too can the biochemistry of the cell. It is this philosophy that "Metabolic Therapies" has evolved. It is a common belief that nutritional deficiencies cause or at least are partially to blame for general ill health and chronic disease . . . that nutritional deficiencies cause inefficient cell function. What if we consider another possibility . . . that inefficient cell function causes nutritional deficiencies? The cell is a biochemical entity. It derives both its strengths and weaknesses from the biochemical pathways it is asked to perform. Even emotional and physical traumas affect our health by ultimately affecting our biochemistry. The cell always responds appropriately and innately to its environment. If its environment is less than optimum, then its response will be less than optimum for your overall health and vitality. Continually requiring a specific metabolic demand to be addressed creates an impaired cellular environment, which, in turn, creates nutritional deficiencies. In essence, many of the foods we eat require the cell to work harder, thus utilizing more nutrition than the foods actually supply. Instead of addressing the nutritional deficiencies, most of which are due to a continued cellular response to a less than optimum environment, simply change the environment. Metabolic Therapies does just that by providing enzymatic and nutrient rich sources of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats, which are easily digested and assimilated, as they are among the most bioavailable foods for optimizing cellular physiology. Metabolic Therapies entails changing the environment of the cell so that the cell is allowed to release its metabolic push or cycle as it moves directly into a "cellular stillness." It is in this stillness that your body can relearn its "conditioned responses" to excessive metabolic demands. Remember, it is these responses, which create nutritional deficiencies. Call today to find out how you can bring "cellular stillness" into your life through diet.
